I'm a Rom of the Romani folki (Gypsy people). Unlike the vast majority of modern Romanies, the Natsia I'm associated with are followers of the Old Ways. If you want to get to know my beliefs better, feel free to join my board at Roma Old Ways.

I'm a father of three beautiful and gifted princes, and husband to my gorgeous Romni, Rhiannon.

I remember the way I was raised... using my imagination, playing outside, discovering all sorts of freaky things in the bush and the garden, exploring, getting hand's on. Ah, those were the days... what am I saying! I still play around like that. XD

Hobbies Singing escapades in the shower, though I sound like a squashed frog with a sore throat; Dancing like a crazed freak - people call it "beastial"; smelling things - anything really; channelling artworks; pushing the flesh I am to the limits.
Vices *looks askance at hairy palms* Errrr... I don't have any.
Virtues I've been told I'm a good father and husband. That is all that matters to me really.

Hi everyone... I'm posting to let everyone know that our trip from USA to Australia went super smoothly. No complications. We arrived on the 17th of July and since we have been running around like crazy trying to sort everything since we are starting afresh.

I mean, AFRESH. So far, we have settled down into a nice home. We have furniture and appliances (thank the gods!). We'll be obtaining a car soon so that's going to be a plus. It's been really nice to ride my bike around, specially when I'm surrounded by bush and a laid back rural town.

I'm currently continuing my studies at uni doing a BA. When the time comes I will definitely be posting pictures of my most recent artworks and of the new area we're in.

O Lungo Drom (The Long Road)

    Saturday, March 31, 2007, 12:06 AM [Poetry]

In the expanse of the skies,
    Floating on a cloud,
    I'm the dew, condensating
    The juiciness around me.

    Falling to the ground,
    Hit sweet solid earth,
    I'm the mud, sauteing
    The minerals within me.

    Nourishment to the flowers,
    Travelling through frivrous veins,
    I'm the sap, feeding
    The petals that is me.

    Crafting a mark,
    For the reader's place,
    I'm the book, squeezing
    The flower - why me?

    Placed as a flowery reminder,
In an old soul's family heirloom,
    I am the bookmark, resting
On the memories that were me.

    Roma Ambigram

    Wednesday, March 21, 2007, 06:39 PM [Art]

Here's my first attemp at an ambigram using the word - Roma - which are the Gypsies, as most people know us.

Tell you what, it was fun making it, and it gave me something to do when I was bored.

    Poem - Judas am I

    Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 02:00 PM [Poetry]

    I saw you walking,
    Down Shakespeare Street,
    A tempest surrounds you,
    Thunder for a countenance.

    Why the pain, my friend?
    The fury.
I did not know it was prophecy fulfilled,
Oh, not what you did for me.

You did not need to take the load.
You did not need to take the pain.
You did not need to take the hanging.
    Nor the gutting.

Who am I to be given such grace?
    Such love?
But you would lay down your life for me.
And I do not understand why...

    I saw you walking,
    Down Shakespeare Street,
And if an ocean of language could be expressed,
In but one drop of water,
I would say -- you Love.

    Poem - Untitled

    Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 01:57 PM [Poetry]

    All ways, always
    A triumphant scarecrow
    Shooing the flying dead
    Shoe in the lying head

    Ever felt that
    Scaring is caring?
    Asks the strawman,
    Whose comfort is fear

    All ways, always
    A triumphant scarecrow
    Soul cuffed in sedition
    Sole scuffed in sedation

    Ever felt that
    Frothy frolic?
    Asks the strawman,
    Whose visage is dead

I became facinated with the Romani ways after seeing a presentation on them by noted Wiccan author Ray Buckland (who, himself, is of Romani blood...he was the first Buckland to be born in a house).

I wonder....have you ever heard of the Tarot Tzgane? It purports to be a "Romani Tarot Deck", but one can never be too sure of cultural claims these days...

    Blessed Be,
